July 26th, 2010 - Mixtape Episode 30
For the sleepless,
the in-betweeners,
and the dusk wakers,
a cerebral,
contemplative mix
for repeated listening
on those long nights
to come.
We are not that alone.
July 20th, 2010 - Loti 2 @ BooksActually, Thursday
Gonna be at
BooksActually this Thursday
for the launch of
Loti (Volume 2).
It's more of a
small get together.
If you've been to
any of the past events,
we almost always
end up talking about
life and stuff
not related to
our books.
See you all there!
July 19th, 2010 - Pics From Berlin
OK,
the pictures
of our little trip
to Berlin are
now up.
Check it out
if you may.
July 19th, 2010 - Mixtape Episode 29
We're back
from Berlin
and extremely tired.
That's why we
need a trance mix
that's faster and
a little harder
than normal to
help us through the week.
The usual suspects
are all here, plus
a really nice update
to an old one from 1998...
July 10th, 2010 - Mixtape Episode 28
Warping back to the 90s,
the more discerning
clubbers here headed for
tunes steeped in
the genre known as
house.
Even pop and
rock acts got into
the action and resulted
in an era where
the 4/4 beat
became more
mainstream.
July 9th, 2010 - Loti 2 Out Now!
Yes, it is
Right now.
It's the awesomest!
Available at BooksActually
and Books Kinokuniya (Main Store).
July 8th, 2010 - TRT In Berlin
Looks like TRT
is going on a little trip.
We'll be in Berlin
next week for the opening
of an exhibit at .HBC,
showcasing some pages
and panels from the
series thus far.
Yes, we are quite
astounded that this is
actually happening.
If you're in Berlin
or happen to be
passing through,
you might want to
check it out.
Here are the details...
Where:
.HBC, Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse 9,
10178, Berlin
When: 15.07.2010 - 12.08.2010
(Opening on 15.07.2010 at 7pm)
July 6th, 2010 - Here We Go!
It's Loti time!
We'll be putting these
in stores soon.
Yup.
More details to follow.
July 5th, 2010 - Mixtape Episode 27
We're in a mellow mood
this week as we prepare
for our trip
to Berlin.
As such,
we think a
similar progressive mix
from the likes of
Tomcraft, Dinka,
Audien and Halifax
is in order.
July 1st, 2010 - On Procrastination
See that ugly
green thing?
Yeah.
After years of waiting
and telling myself
"I'll get it after I
finish the next book,"
I finally did it.
I can finally play
those unopened shooters
I've been accumulating.
Of course,
this purchase didn't
come without the
usual BS that this
industry is known for.
And when I say industry,
I mean the game retail biz.
You know what I'm talkin' about.
Please refer to the post
I made in April if you have
somehow forgotten.
Now, it took me about
a month to get my hands
on this 360. As you can
tell from the pic above,
it's the bare bones Arcade version,
also known as the loser version
or poor man's 360.
I wanted this model because
it is cheap and does what I want.
I don't believe in wasting
resources. You know...
the REAL way to save Gaia.
With the imminent release
of the newer, less un-sexy 360
in a week, stocks for the
current models are supposed to
be dropped like yesterday's news.
But for some reason,
many stores that had units available
jacked up the price or
did the usual bundling trick
with "objects of no importance".
One even told me the BS of the week
on how it has become a limited edition.
Since when has obsolete = limited edition?
Clearly, logic seems to elude
certain individuals. And I'm being
very kind with the numbers here.
This leads some of them to
engage in inane chit chat/small talk
with me about how I shouldn't
have procrastinated over
the years.
Procrastination.
It's a pretty big word.
So big, that a lot of people
only concentrate on the length of it
but not question the underlying
force driving the verb.
Yes, I procrastinated in
getting the 360.
Just like some folks who
procrastinate on doing
their required tasks until
the last minute
or the kid
who puts off homework
until the last night of
the holidays or the
"friend" who keeps
brushing you off
for lunch or dinner but
coincidentally is the one
who always says "hey, we
should meet for lunch or
dinner!"
It's really all about
priorities and a reflection
of its lack thereof.
By procrastinating all
these years, I am basically saying
that the 360 is not that
important me. I can afford
to not have it in my life.
If the world came to an end,
I wouldn't regret not having
the experience of interacting
with it.
Take that and apply the same
train of thought to humans and you
can quickly see how the
relationships between them
are clearly defined.
Not that I'm saying
procrastination is wrong.
In fact, I use it to gauge
a lot of things now.
Just don't pretend
like it's anything else
or treat it like a big word
that can get yourself
out of jail.
As of this post, I still
have not bothered to
open the 360 packaging.
