January 26th, 2008 - I Wanna Be The Guy
Owata was tough. So is this game. It's a mash-up platformer of 8-bit quality. You'll need to install an .exe file so do this at home. Frustrating but doable if you try a few hundred times. Here's a quick run on Youtube to give you an idea.

January 20th, 2008 - Jinsei Owata No Daibouken
This is "The Adventure To End Your Life". Z to jump, X to shoot, R to restart, arrow keys to move. See how far you can go. You will die a lot. If you give up, you suck. Game gets updated with new levels periodically.

January 12th, 2008 - A Winner!!!
I don't take a look at videogame news for a few days and this kind of shit happens. Apparently, if you haven't had enough of the Chinese Nintendo "Vii" (click here for promo, tech specs), along comes this announcement of a next gen knockoff, aptly titled the Winner. I'm praying that's a photoshopped image. If not, expect Youtube videos to surface soon.

January 10th, 2008 - Gibson Robot Guitar
Anybody else looking at this Gibson self-tuning robot guitar? My buddy in L.A. has one pre-ordered and shipping next week. It's pretty neat that you can dial in dropped and weird tunings on the fly, but somehow having a CPU in a guitar does not seem right. I mean, real rockers tune by hand, man! Or they have a few guitars, one for each tuning. OK, those rockers being rockstars.

This just in...2 days ago, SonyBMG selling DRM-free music via cards you buy at a store, that you bring back to get a PIN number, to use on a site, which... Um, go to this link that Jit sent me and read about this new avenue of digital sales.

January 8th, 2008 - The Killers Sawdust
Just got this B-sides and rarities collection by the Killers. As much as I like Brandon Flowers and his gang, a lot of songs on this are hit & miss. Although, I bought this mainly for their awesome cover of Joy Division's Shadowplay and the remix of Mr. Brightside. The cover art does not have the Merlion anymore.

January 7th, 2008 - Paper Mario World (W1)
Now this is just a neat flash game by Lesjuh. It looks, feels and sounds like Paper Mario! Albeit a little short, I wonder what it'll become with more work and more worlds added in the future...

January 5th, 2008 - Site Mods
I made some small updates to the css and html files throughout the site. You may have to reset your browser to benefit from the changes. I also split up the Tourist using some the form of chapter breaks in the Browse window. This will help you jump back as close to where you left off. Once again, there is a "Browse" button on the top of every comic page, in case you didn't know.

January 3rd, 2008 - Waking Zoe Interpretations

First work day of '08, eh? Wanna shoot something? OK, let's SHOOT SOMETHING! Use the mouse to aim/fire, spacebar to reload. You can buy new weapons with downed enemies. Can you make it through all 13 days or give up from the repetitiveness? Don't get caught by the Boss.....at your workplace!

January 1st, 2008 - Happy New Year
Apparently the world didn't end. Drat. Seeing how nobody wants to employ me, I guess I should think about the inking schedule for 2008. I wonder if I can get another 3 releases out. I wonder if I'll ever get to play those 24 unopened video games in my "to play" pile. Or read the 13 new books collecting dust. Drat. The year just started and I'm already mind-raping myself.
