Apr 30th, 2009 - PS3 Headset Secured!

News16

I've finally made the leap!
After deliberating and putting this off
for more than a year,
I went out and got myself a PS3 headset.

And the official Sony one at that!

Ha ha ha.
What a world of difference this makes.
I can finally hear people say,
"Look out! Behind you!"

So instead of getting killed
without knowing what hit me,
I can now proudly say that
I turn around just in time
to see what is about to hit me.
And promptly dying after that.

Apr 23rd, 2009 - Razing Storm & Auto Me

News15a

Have you all been pumping credits
into Namco Bandai's latest gun game,
Razing Storm?
It is basically a game for people
who played Crisis Zone and wondered,
"Wow, wouldn't this be great if
it were a 2 player game?"

And the answer is, YES!
You can destroy almost everything
in the game again. So fun!
Now if only it ran at 60 fps...
Yup, I'm a framerate freak.
In my ideal gaming world,
all games run at 60 fps,
like most arcade racing games.
But that's a topic for another day.

Speaking of 60 fps...

News15b

I've been telling Kampong how
I missed the Pacman characters from
Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2.
Well, apparently they are hiding
inside the 3DX machines!
Ha ha ha. That's Inky in the pic!
We found you!

Yeah, and now that I'm playing with
my Loti car, Those Who Do Not Go To School
are tempted to challenge fish my auto car.
But guess what?
I beat them. Twice in a row.
That's right. They know who they are.
Beaten by an automatic.
The horror!

The legend of the Auto Loti has begun.

Apr 20th, 2009 - Jack Donaghy says...

News14

"Shut it down."

There comes a time
when you have to pull the plug,
when you realize the futility
of the situation and can foresee
the future,
when you know you've spent
time and money but cannot
allow them to curtail your
decision making.

That's right.
I've shut the job down at the printers.
On closer inspection of the proofs,
the ones that seemed OK
did not pass my QC
after I regained full consciousness.

People tell me I should
adjust my expectations and standards down
going forward,
but I highly disagree.

I'm currently in talks with a new printer.
The third time may be the charm.
However, in baseball,
three strikes and
you're out.

And if you don't know who
Jack Donaghy is,
you should probably watch
more 30 Rock.

Apr 16th, 2009 - Tourist Update

News13

OK, you're probably wondering
where we are on book 3?

The latest proofs are in
as you can see in the pic.
16 pages using different methods
of interpolation and experimentation.

Some of these pages got it right.
Which ones are they?

(What is he talking about?
They all look fine what!)

Yah, that's coz you're viewing at
a distance and at low resolution.

There IS a huge difference even if you
don't use a magnifying glass like me.

So the good news is, there is a way
to do it, but the problem now is...

COST.
Yup, I am certain it will be a bomb.
But will it be an ICBM
or a grenade?

Does it make sense to print these?

Apr 9th, 2009 - Loti Upgraded

News12

That's right, Xiao-An.
All you kiddos have been given the
"Loti Synchronization Filter Upgrade"!

→ Cuteness Leveled Up!
→ Narrative Enhanced!
→ Plot Elements Enhanced!
→ Dialogue Improved!

Changes should be seamless,
but to be sure, please hard clear/reset
your browser using
Cmd + R (Mac) or Ctrl + R (Windows).

You might not notice them straight away.
You might even think "Nothing has changed!
It's a con!"
But if you start from the beginning,
somehow you'll feel that life is better.

Try it!

Apr 3rd, 2009 - The Road To 825HP! (Part 3)

News11

Hello, there was something odd
happening in the arcade yesterday.

--- What?

There was absolutely nobody
playing in it.

Yup. I was undisturbed throughout
my stay there.
Even the auntie behind the
counter came out to watch.

It was a ghost town.
Yeah. I guess the kids got
caught playing truant or something.
(maybe somebody contacted their
school or the cops...)

Of course it wasn't me!
How could you think that I would do
something like that?!!

Oh and thus, the Loti car is now complete!
Ha ha ha. That sure was a lot credits.
100 stages is a bit much don't you think?
Somehow, I kinda want to play
them all over again with the
WMMT 1 & 2 soundtracks.

Or I could begin phase II, putting
the Loti ghost data on EVERY machine
in Singapore. That actually sounds quite
exciting!

--- Shouldn't you be concentrating
on getting the damn Tourist book settled?
